CNVT Welcomes Lions Indomptables de Québec and Halifax Veterans FC

The Canada National Veteran Tournament is proud to welcome two new member clubs into the federation: Lions Indomptables de Québec and Halifax Veterans FC. Their arrival brings CNVT to 14 member clubs and extends our family from the St. Lawrence to the Atlantic coast.

Lions Indomptables de Québec

Representing Québec City, the Lions Indomptables carry a proud name and an even prouder spirit. Built around veteran players who have kept the game alive in the capital for years, the club joins CNVT with a clear ambition: to compete with the best, to grow veteran football in Québec City, and to live the values of Strength, Unity, Respect and Community on and off the pitch. Québec City hosted the 2025 edition of the tournament, and the Lions now give the city a permanent voice inside the federation.

Halifax Veterans FC

Halifax Veterans FC brings the veterans' football community of Halifax to the national stage for the first time. As CNVT's first member club in Atlantic Canada, HV FC opens a new chapter for the federation: a truly coast-to-coast tournament. The club's founders have worked hard to organise Nova Scotia's veteran players, and their commitment to community and respect fits perfectly with the CNVT mission.

What it means for the federation

With Lions Indomptables de Québec and Halifax Veterans FC on board, the road to CNVT 2027 in Montréal is wider than ever. Both clubs will take part in the general assembly, sit on committees alongside the other member clubs, and send their squads to compete for the national title next summer. Their crests now join the wall of member clubs on cnvt.org and in the CNVT app.

Two more seats at the table

The federation's goal is clear: 16 member clubs before January 2027, so that the Montréal 2027 draw is made with a full house. Two places remain. If your veteran club (35+) wants to represent its city on the national stage, vote at the general assembly and take its turn hosting the tournament, register now through the Team Registration page or write to us at infocnvt@gmail.com — the earlier you join, the sooner your players are part of the road to Montréal.

On behalf of the Executive Committee and all member clubs: bienvenue Lions, welcome Halifax. One Nation, One Game, One Legacy.
